Dab a little into your palms and apply to dry or towel-dried hair. Your hair will have a nice, flake-free matte shine. To wash out use one of our grease cutting shampoos. To remove heavier applications first wash with a grease cutting dish detergent, rinse, and then use one of our shampoos to clean and condition. Lucky Tiger Cru Butch & Control Wax is for old-school grooming that holds true to its classic barbershop heritage. Lucky Tiger got your grandfather lucky, it got your father lucky, and it will get you lucky, too.
I just wanted to do a Shout Out for Cru-Butch!!!! It's one of my new found favorite products as a greaser. I think every greaser/slickback should use Cru-Butch as an 'undercoat' before slicking back. Apply to towel dryed damp hair, then apply pomade or gel. With the wax in place you can take your time when you comb.
I couldn't do without it. It's super affordable, and one jar lasts me anywhere from one to two months. It's designed for flattops and crew cuts, but when used on towel damp hair it makes my thick hair completely controllable. Cru-Butch is a wax, and though it still has petroleum, the paraffin is way stronger!
I have thick and unruly hair. My hair is actually wavy and curly. I work hard to get it smooth and slicked back. Cru-Butch makes the work easy. I can slather my fenders tight to the sides and get an awesome lift to the 'hood ornament'/wave. I use it only every two to four days in small amounts and use regular hair gel or any other water based pomade such as Layright, Sauvicito, or Groom & Clean (love that smell) on top of the Cru-Butch.
As a wax, it doesn't wash out. I just rinse my hair daily and then I wash it with shampoo every four or five days per my barbers instructions. In my days I have slicked back quite a few guys with thinned hair as well as thick. Had I known, Cru-Butch would have been great to give volume and lift for thinned hair and it would not have fell apart at a touch. For thick hair It gives greater tightness with no gaps between the comb lines.
