I have used pomade off and on for years — both wax/oil and water based. Recently, I received a sample can of Deluxe Pomade at my barbershop. I liked the hold, sheen and scent. I received several very positive comments on my hair, so I continued to use it and wow, I really like it as opposed to anything else I've used. After I used a good bit for a few days, I realized the true difference in Deluxe. Now I use it every day and I couldn't be happier with how my hair looks... and my wife agrees! It gives me total control of my hair, has great hold (now wear a good pomp) and sheen, and it is still very pliable and easy to comb.
I know some guys are concerned with getting wax/oil based pomades out, but when I do want to wash it out, I have no problem. I use a good dose of Groom & Clean letting it melt the wax for about a half an hour. Then I saturate hair with a good shampoo, wash, and then rewash and it's all gone. But, I must say I am so pleased with Deluxe that I seldom need to get it all out as I only grease it up good again. -KLY

Wow. I've tired everything, and I mean everything. Deluxe is the best I've used, it holds, smell good and it doesn't get hard and crunchy like [some other water based pomades]. And its soft and easier to comb than [heavy petroleum based pomades]. It hold better too. Smells like spearmint gum. I am a fan and I wouldn't use anything else.
