NOTICE: Layrite is known to sometimes appear "old" and crusty. This is normal for this product formulation. It happens due to a small amounts of evaporation. Once you scoop it out and rub it in your hands, this is no longer an issue. Also some water can be added to your hair which will also aid in styling. DIRECTIONS: To give hair moisture and minimize drying and breakage, spray on Hawleywood's Styling Spray before using Layrite Pomade. Rub ample amount of LAYRITE into the palms of hands until it softens and rub thoroughly into dry or damp hair, then comb or brush into desired hairstyle. Add water and Layrite softens up to a wet gel-like consistency and then hair can be combed for a wet look. When it drys, it tightly holds your hair in place like a heavy wax. And it holds with a moderate shine. After it hardens some, use a gloss spray or light pomade to add shine if desired. LAYRITE will control wavy hair and slick down straight hair.
Even though the pomade washes out with water, you may want to use one of our fine shampoos to clean the dirt and oils from your hair.

Hey, just tried the jar of Layrite. Fantastic! Most folks know what a fan of gel and hairspray I am, but that was always because I couldn't get the hold with plain gel, or any pomades (not to mention the shine). Layrite is by far the BEST pomade I've EVER put in my hair. The hold is fantastic and the lift I can get with my wave is awesome. The shine I like is still not there, but that's tolerable. I did try it with some spray on top of it once it set a little and it added extreme shine. The bottom line though is, I don't have to use the spray. The feel is extremely sexual, so smooth, and perfect! Layrite is the BEST!!! -Gullifer
Layrite stands alone. This is great for every day use. If you bust your ass at a dirty job and don't wanna worry about bringing the dirt home to your pillow, then this washable stuff is for you. It has great hold and that vanilla smell is so good. The ladies will notice! It goes on easy and holds in place all day. It won't melt on those hot summer days either. It doesn't have a whole lot of shine, but you could always add a little bit of Sweet Georgia Brown water based pomade, or Murray's Super Light (Both sold here) to get that waxed Cadillac glow! -Bigsby
